We're Planning!

We've had 3 meetings to far to put together the first coordinated Bike to School Day across San Francisco. The day is set for Thursday 5/28/08.  That's 2 weeks after Bike to Work Day and just after Memorial Day Weekend.

At the planning table so far we have members from the Presidio YMCA Bike Program, SF Department of Public Health, SF Police Department, SF Bike Coalition, SF Municipal Transportation Depts of Bicycle Awareness and School Area Safety as well as the SF Mayor's - Shape up San Francisco Coalition.  We are in communication with the SF Unified School Districts School Health Programs Department and will be presenting to them early in the spring of 2009.
